The Royal Sarcophagus Society, formed in 2002,
is a Toronto-based collective of visual designers, artists, dancers,
accountants, vagabonds, seers, seekers and pastry chefs dedicated
to putting the unpredictable in to the every day.
The RSS's goal is that of liberating magic, art, whimsy and idle
daydreaming and setting it free from the shackles of mass produced,
predictable, modern day, dim-witted, dunder-headed profit orientated
sameness.
From 2003 to 2006, the RSS produced an Autumnal Soiree that showcased
our members and invited guests and, if we dare say it, was the most
magical Halloween party in town. We have also presented a cornucopia
of eccentric events, from book readings to bingo. The RSS Press,
and its new imprint House of Pomegranate Press, specializes in limited-edition,
hand-made art books by our members and other admirable writer types.
Members continue to collaborate on poetry readings, music, book publishing,
custom packaging, website design, scents, secrets, divinations and
all manner of tomfoolery.
For information on our merry band of misfits, contact
us here.

The Royal Sarcophagus Society is a loose collective
of artists, writers, dancers, musicians, rogues and vagabonds all
dedicated to the earnest belief that art saves lives - that however
well lit a room is, the corners should always be kept in shadow -
that idealism can and should be upheld - that eccentricity is valuable
and should be guarded rather than repressed - that technology can
serve well when used appropriately - and that we do all that we can
(nothing half-assed) with visionary earnestness, purity and (with
our own definition of) beauty.
(Somehow all of this, and not work for the man).
